Creating and Delivering Interactive Lessons with Nearpod

Kahoot! is a collection of questions on specific topics created by teachers (or students). Questions are asked in real-time, to an unlimited number of “players”, creating a social, fun and game-like learning environment.

Getting Started

 Access Nearpod one of two ways
  1. Install and/or launch the Nearpod app if you will be using your own device. 
  2. Or, you can use a computer.
  3. Or, you can use both at the same time if you want to get crazy and see what the two interfaces look like.
Sign up for a Nearpod account
  1. Go to https://nearpod.com/.
  2. Click Create Free Teacher Account.
  3. Create your account.

Introduction to Nearpod

Nearpod is an interactive presentation and assessment tool. A teacher can create presentations that can contain Quiz's, Polls, Videos, Images, Drawing-Boards and "push it out" to all of the iPads in his/her classroom. 
  1. Open Nearpod on your computer or device.
  2. If you are somewhere in My Nearpod on a computer, click the Nearpodhoues  icon at the top of your screen. (See icon to the right.) Then, click Join Lesson.
  3. If you are using the app, tap the person in the upper right corner and Log out.
  4. Join a session with the pin. (The pin will be provided at the time of the activity.)
  5. Engage and learn about the Nearpod features!
