You will create a Symbaloo account and learn how to add tiles. Make sure you open a separate browser window to keep your Symbaloo so that you can keep track of the videos you find.
By the end of this activity you should have created a Symbaloo Webmix and have it in it's own browser window.

Activity 3: Find and Save Videos in PBS Learning Media

You will create a PBS Learning Media account and learn how to navigate the site. While there are many classroom features of the PBS Learning Media site you will be focusing on saving videos to you Symbaloo Webmix.
By the end of this activity you should have saved at least 3 videos to your Symbaloo Webmix.

Activity 4: You Tube Snowball Fight

  3. Crumple up the paper.
  4. On the count of three, everyone will throw their paper up in the air.
  5. Grab someone else's paper, read the fact and either write a supporting detail or another fact.
  6. Repeat several times.
  7. Take a picture of the paper and upload it to the Padlet Wall. (QR code to the right) Make sure you pose a reflection where it says "write something".

By the end of this activity you should have saved at least three videos to your Symbaloo or your WatchKnowLearn favorites.

Activity 6 - TED-Ed

We will look at a Ted Ed video together and engage in the activity. Then you will search for existing TED-Ed lessons and create one of your own.
By the end of this lesson you will have created and/or adapted a TED-Ed lesson of your own.

Activity 7 - Strategies

The Big One! - Create Activities and Share

Pull it all together! You will plan and share lessons that effectively utilize videos.
Use the chart below to share a link to a video and a description of how you will us it with your students. You can either add your ideas to the chart below or click here to open the document in Google Docs. You can even create a Google Doc of your own and paste a link to it in the chart.
